MLC condemned Police lathi charge on NHM employees ,Demanded registration of FIR | KNO

DODA , JUN 04 (KNO) : Member Legislative Council and District Congress Committee President Doda Naresh Kumar Gupta said Brutal Lathi charg and teargas shelling on NHM employees, by the police is highly condemable which resulted serious injuries to more than two dozen striking employees.While interacting with a delegation of NHM employees who called upon him MLC said it is strange that in a democratic set up , genuine voice is being stopped by the Govt in such a way which invite shame in the society and strong action against those involved in the gruesome crime and registration of FIR'.against the delinquents and where is the Government claim of Good Governance. Gupta said it is serious human rights violations committed by the police and State Human Rights Commission should take cognizance.Gupta also expressed great anguish over the failure of the Government in addressing the genuine demands of the NHM employees.He also said that these employees of NHM are the persons who are providing basic health treatment in the far flung areas against low salary. Gupta assured the NHM employees that he along with other Congress members will raise the issue in the house on next working day there by demanding regulation of the NHM employees. (KNO)
